Johanna is the first match on against fourth seeded Russian Vera Dushevina, who on paper is the favorite for the match. Dushevina has not played the Collector Swedish Open before but was in the final of the Nordic Light Open in Stockholm in both 2007 and 2008.

Sofia Arvidsson has never met a world number one, but she will have to tonight. She will be meeting Caroline Wozniacki for the final match of the day starting not before 17.00.
